Location and roads
The Abbey is placed by random-position generation and is not at the same coordinates in every save; this site's map shows one example. Roads connect it to the Drunken Woodsman Inn, the Southern Outpost and a nearby homestead. Use the map and explored roads in your current save when planning.
Official description
This is where Verren and his caravan came in search for the Stoneshard. The deceptively quiet ruins turned out to be a den of crazed cultists, the encounter with whom cost many men their lives.
Relation to the Old Contract
