Starting conditions
Ask Verren at the Caravan Camp about a quartermaster and start the quest. The three recruitment quests share one recruitment slot, so only one can be active at a time.
Walkthrough
Go to the Sentian Company's Camp and investigate the conflict. One route enters the Kill the Mercenaries combat chain; another resolution action advances to Talk to Leif without that kill objective.

Rewards and consequences
The outcome is Leif joining as a caravan follower; the quest completes and closes when you meet the new member at the camp. The recruitment completion action has no fixed gold or item reward.
