Hunting grounds are a class of animal map markers: bison, saiga, deer, boar, bear, wolf and moose each have their own hunting ground name and icon. Each marker represents one animal class in the generated regions. The overview below lists the seven grounds with their official descriptions and example locations, and states which generation details remain unverified.

The seven hunting grounds

Official description
The same official paragraph describes every ground:
This place is well-known to local hunters - taking a trip there pretty much guarantees scoring some game.
This is the game's official wording for the marker: local hunters know the place well. It is rumor and locating guidance, not a numeric guarantee of encounters.
Generation and discovery
World-map discovery identifies nearby hunting grounds as points of interest. The same-version generation flow places these example markers through the wilderness event rules, three per class; distributions in actual saves differ.
The same-version generation writes NPC appearance parameters around a hunting ground, and the region generator applies further checks to each animal class afterwards; whether the second write fully takes effect is not yet fully closed. This page therefore does not treat arrival as a guaranteed encounter and does not publish an appearance rate - that value remains a documented gap.
