Location and travel
Denbrie is placed within its named region by world-generation rules. Coordinates on this site belong to the documented example; consult your own map, revealed regions and roads when travelling.
People and services
These characters are documented in the village, church and house scenes. The location notes help you look for them; they are not opening hours or a guarantee of their presence. The table lists some buying categories, rather than stock for sale or a complete buying list; individual items must meet other trading conditions.
| Character | Occupation | Documented location | Services | Examples of accepted categories |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| レイノルド | Captain | Village grounds and church | Trading, Repairs, Contract conversations, Lodging | Alcohol, Jewelry, Medicine, Tools, Valuables |
| マティス | Merchant | Village grounds and merchant house | Trading | Alcohol, Armor, Food, Jewelry, Materials, Medicine, Scrolls, Tools, Treatises, Valuables, Weapon |
| ワイスタン | Fisherman | Village grounds and old fisherman's house | Trading | Alcohol, Jewelry, Medicine, Valuables |
Trading and contracts
To compare offers, select Denbrie and a documented merchant in the trading tool. Reynold also offers repairs and contract conversations; consult the dialogue in your save for available jobs, destinations and rewards.
The character table includes confirmed trading services even when the trader is not yet available in the tool. Follow the special-event articles below for situation-related trading changes. Buying categories and price parameters do not describe fixed stock or final offers.
Lodging
Ask Reynold about staying overnight first. Completing that conversation unlocks the rental menu; asking alone does not take payment or grant a stay. Select a duration and pay in crowns to rent a bed.
Renewing adds any unused rental time and restarts the timestamp from the purchase. Once the elapsed game days reach the rental duration, the bed no longer grants access through this rental. A valid stay is only one sleep condition: nearby enemies, crime status or life-threatening effects can still prevent rest.
| Duration | Price |
|---|---|
| 1 game days | 10 crowns |
| 7 game days | 60 crowns |
| 14 game days | 100 crowns |
Quests and onward travel
The concluding dialogue of Old Contract starts Caravan's Journey: Denbrie and reveals the Denbrie area. Its journal objective is: Visit Denbrie for More Contracts. See Old Contract for the steps and branches leading to this conversation.
This is an onward travel objective. Revealing the area does not mean you have visited it, completed the journey or accepted a new contract.
Dynamic contract contact at the bridge
At St Wald's Bridge, a Denbrie satellite location, an emissary cart may appear during the morning/day window of 06:00–18:59. When the Official is present and can be spoken to, you can view the generic contract and trading entries currently offered by the game.
This Official is a dynamic contact rather than a permanent resident of Denbrie. The dialogue is available only when the cart has appeared at the bridge and the character can be spoken to; if the emissary is not there, check the bridge again later as time advances.
Special events
These documented settlement situations, location quests and quest follow-ups apply here. Regular candidates are not guaranteed on each visit; quests follow their own prerequisites and locations. Open an article for entry conditions, effects and ending.
| Event | How it occurs | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| 市 | Regular candidate | A Fair is a randomly occurring settlement situation. Its official effect describes visiting wandering traders, alongside changed conditions for food, alcohol and other trading. Its timer lasts 7 game days from activation; a situation update then processes its ending. |
| 繁茂 | Regular candidate | Bloom is a timed settlement situation from the regular rotation. It changes plant growth and herb buying prices, and refreshes growth in the settlement’s owning area when it starts. |
| 繁殖期 | Regular candidate | Rut is a timed settlement situation from the regular rotation. It changes wilderness activity and creature spawn counts, and refreshes global animal and monster locations when it starts. |
| 競争 | Regular candidate | Competition is a timed settlement situation from the regular rotation. It changes contract availability, deadlines, reputation calculation and selected trade terms, and processes qualifying existing dungeon contracts on activation. |
| 巡礼 | Regular candidate | Pilgrimage is a timed situation associated with visiting pilgrims. It increases reputation reward modifiers for Crypt and Catacombs contracts and changes food and medicine trading-price terms. |
| 増援 | Regular candidate | Reinforcements is a timed settlement situation from the regular rotation. It lowers wilderness activity and ambush chance in the owning area, changes trade terms, and lets qualifying kills affect reputation through player XP. |
| 危険な道 | Possible contract aftermath | Dangerous Roads is a negative settlement situation caused by eligible Bastion contract aftermaths. It changes trading and wilderness generation and can lead to supply problems. Resolving the linked dungeon contract allows a situation update to remove it; it has no fixed-day expiry. |
| 疫病 | Possible contract aftermath | Pestilence is a negative settlement situation that can follow an unresolved Catacombs contract. It affects sick beasts, gathered food, village residents, and medicine trading, and can lead to delivery problems. Its ending path requires the same dungeon connection to be cleared. |
| 悪夢 | Possible contract aftermath | Nightmares is a negative settlement situation that can follow an unresolved Crypt contract. It rewrites sleep settlement in the affected area, withholds Vigor, and changes alcohol trading. Its ending path requires the same dungeon connection to be cleared. |
| 配送の遅れ | Economic consequence of a negative situation | Delayed Deliveries is the first economic deterioration stage that a negative settlement situation can cause. It changes trading conditions and merchant fund generation, may worsen further, and can be cleared by resolving its parent situation. |
| 物流の混乱 | Economic consequence of a negative situation | Disrupted Logistics is stage 2 of economic deterioration caused by a negative main situation. It further changes trading, stock generation, and merchant fund generation. It is replaced or cleared only by further deterioration or removal of the linked negative parent. |
| 物資不足 | Economic consequence of a negative situation | Supplies Shortage is the third and final economic deterioration stage caused by a negative main situation. It further changes trading, stock generation, and merchant fund generation. A situation update clears it after the linked negative parent is removed. |
| グウィネルの答え | Quest follow-up: conditional stock | After completion, some merchants can restock specific caravan materials when the upgrade prerequisites, character race and restock conditions are met. |
Official background
By the time the truce was settled, Denbrie had already been turned into ruins. The Council's army razed this quiet fishing village twice: first during their initial advance, and then - while retreating from their defeat under the walls of Brynn.
Right now the only thing keeping this settlement afloat is the garrison sent here by the Magistrate to oversee its western border.
